USTR Should Not to Address Cross-Data Flows, Privacy, in EU/US Trade TTIP Agreement
Submitted by demedia on Sat, 05/11/2013 - 10:57May 10 was the deadline for Comments to USTR on what the U.S. agenda should be for the upcoming Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) negotiation. CDD urged USTR not include issues involving digital privacy on the agenda, and to respect the need for both the US and EU to further address their own data protection frameworks.

But industry--and the WC3 leadership--must show they are meaningfully committed to help protect the privacy of individuals online.

Victory on Children's Privacy as FTC, 4-0, Supports July 1 start date for new safeguards
